For 30 years now, Store Specialists, Inc. (SSI) Group has brought brands from all around the world to our shores, giving us the best lifestyle selections and elevating brand diversity.
To celebrate their 30th anniversary, SSI Group launched a new campaign entitled “The Curated Life,” bringing together over 30 individuals who have lived to the campaign’s name and excelled in the various crafts that brought them to success.
The essence of SSI Group’s campaign, with the theme #PassionForward, as well as the selected personalities’ achievements and goals are aptly put to words by Manila Bulletin lifestyle editor AA Patawaran, “What unites all the varying specialty and lifestyle concepts under the SSI Group is their ability to elevate taste, amplify desire, awaken aspiration, and empower the drive for self-actualization.”
Each of the individuals chosen by SSI Group have championed in putting their passions forward in order to live the curated life and, indeed, a good life. Here are some of the personalities listed who continue to push the boundaries of Filipino lifestyle and inspire people everyday:
Dindin Araneta, Lisa Periquet, and Trickie Lopa
The three women are recognized with founding Art Fair Philippines in 2013, which is now the premier platform for pioneering the best in modern and contemporary Philippine visual art. Five years on, the fair continues to exhibit and sell the best works of various artists in the country.
Art, for Dindin Araneta, reflects the changes in time as artist are inspired by the past and express their talents in a contemporary setting. Lisa Periquet and Trickie Lopa, in the meantime, state how art gives us a glimpse of reality and how it enriches our lives, a way to satisfy our aesthetic needs.

“I love to take the materials I’ve selected and just experiment with them, almost like a couturier with fabric,” say Kenneth, “The materials we use have always been around, but it’s the way we use them that makes our pieces different.”

Sofia recognizes the uniqueness of Filipino dances, grounded in emotion and elegance. This uniqueness also defines the characteristics of being a Filipino. “I’ve always felt that Filipino dancers are unique. They capture you because they dance from the soul,” shares Sofia.
