It’s the same box, but with all new experiences.
Sky Cable launched their newest digital TV product called SKY On Demand Box, bringing Cable TV and online streaming services in one device.
The box enables viewers to enjoy the good ol’ Cable TV channels such as HBO, Cinemax, Fox Sports, Food Network Asia, and Discovery Channel. Viewers can switch to Netflix and YouTube, too, to binge watch their favorite videos via a built-in access on the remote control.
The new box also allows subscribers to catch up on their favorite cable shows using the SKY On Demand app while a separate app, the Sky on Demand Box Remote App, makes it possible for streaming, private listening, and turn your gadget into a remote control possible.
Plus get to watch two shows at a time on different devices with just one box. Now viewers won’t miss the show they’re currently watching while monitoring another show with the new picture in picture (PIP) mode.
A multi-function personal video recorder (PVR) feature also allows recording of multiple shows that viewers would like watch on their preferred time.
“Nakita na namin ‘yung gusto ng tao. Apart from cable TV shows, more and more are streaming online content from YouTube and Netflix,” says Claudia Suarez who is SKY’s Business Unit head of the Consumer Product Group.
The SKY On Demand box is available for a one-time payment fee of as low as P1999. It is currently available in Manila and will be launched nationwide soon.
