You must have heard Christmas stories from your parents when they were growing up. Memories of how they would hold off eating until midnight for that sumptuous noche buena feast, compete with cousins, aunts, and uncles for the best exchange gifts, and religiously attend the Simbang Gabi.
It would make grandparents happy to know that these Christmas traditions still continues to this day because Filipinos, in general, love spending time with the family, especially during the happiest time of the year.
Christmas is always a good time to make new memories, and Ayala Malls’ latest establishment promises to make those exciting experiences worthwhile by launching it with celebrations close to home.
Ayala Malls Circuit —Makati’s new “Speedway to Entertainment”—is filled with lifestyle hotspots, fun activities, and community events that is guaranteed to bring enjoyment to the whole family; the area is rich with exciting energy having been the previous host of the premier Sta. Ana horse racetrack.
The launch was commemorated with the Christmas project “Awit at Laro”, which celebrates the reintroduction of Filipino music and culture to a new generation. The masterminds behind the musical show are Paolo Valenciano, Bambi Mañosa, and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano.
Apart from being a musical extravaganza that will lighten up the spirits for kids and kids at heart, the project aims to raise funds for UNICEF, the Tukod Foundation and the Shining Light Foundation.
Accompanying Gary V in this lively concert spanning 21 Ayala Malls during the Christmas season are his children Gab and Kianna Valenciano, Joey Ayala, Rj Dela Fuente, Steps Dance Studio, and many more exciting acts.
Because of such an initiative, we are reminded of how lovely Christmas just as it was when our own parents were young. With local music on the rise once more, and a greater appreciation for Pinoy culture, the holidays have never seemed so spirited.
